Hockey players of the Sakhalin “Crystal” won in two matches against a team from Novosibirsk

On March 12, Kristall players completed a two-match series with Sibir from Novosibirsk in the second stage of the Junior Hockey League championship. On their native ice, the Sakhalin team was able to hold back the starting pressure from the current leader of the standings, the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region reported.
The guests were determined to win. But Kristall was able to turn the tide of the matches and ended both meetings in their favor.
The first match with a score of 6:5 island hockey players held in their favor. The next day, Sibir failed to take revenge, and the meeting ended with the advantage of the hosts of the site with the same numbers on the scoreboard – 6:5. In both games, the teams needed extra time to determine the leader. If on the first day the winner became known only after a series of shootouts, then in the second match overtime was announced, as a result of which the victory was again celebrated by Kristall.
According to the results of the series, the students of Alexander Skvortsov from Kristall climbed to third place in the standings. The position of “Siberia” has not changed – the team is still the current leader of the tournament.
After one day of rest, Kristall will face the next opponents. Their namesakes from Berdsk will visit the island hockey players. Home matches with Berdsk “Crystal” will be held on March 14 and 15. Start at 11:00. Fans are invited to support island hockey players. Entrance for spectators is free.
