The Preobrazhensky Court of Moscow sentenced the accused of murdering two minor residents of Estonia. The crime was committed in 1989.
As MK previously reported, the victims of the criminal were two schoolgirls who came to stay in Moscow from Tallinn. Their corpses were found in Losiny Ostrov park. The crime remained unsolved for many years. The truth was established thanks to a DNA test. Dmitry Zakharov, one of the three participants in the crime, was exposed. Another was killed in a shootout, and a third died of a drug overdose. Over the years, Zakharov has been repeatedly prosecuted, but now he will go to prison again.
According to the press service of the court, Zakharov was sentenced to 16 years in prison in a maximum security colony.
