This need to escape into something safe, pleasant and beautiful is observed all over the world and in different areas. This is probably why Time magazine chose pop singer Taylor Swift as its “person of 2023” rather than any politician. Or the other day, the Pantone Color Institute named the main shade of 2024 – “peach fluff,” i.e. soft peach. Compare it to the color of the year – crimson red, which is described as “a fist in a velvet glove.” This is all about the same trend – disappointment in aggressive methods of solving problems, fatigue from endless crises and violence, hope to find a way out in harmony.

Another factor. Now in our country there is a fairly high level of inflation, many opportunities for preserving and increasing your capital do not work. And instead of stocks and investing in real estate, people are trying to invest in something more accessible and understandable – in their beauty and health. And, in my opinion, smart investments in your beauty and health are a useful and effective way to cope with the long-term stress of the current time.”

But the problem is that it is not always possible to “relax and enjoy” from transformative procedures. Sometimes you can run into low-quality services. Although in our time this seems strange, because if a friend recommends a manicurist she has trusted, then there are sites with ratings of specialists and reviews of salons on the Internet.

But, apparently, there are situations when people have a “fire emergency” and they go to the first repairman they come across.

As it turned out, the first place in the number of complaints from Muscovites is eyelash extension procedures. “I’ve been doing eyelashes for over a year now, I always wear them carefully, but this time my eyelashes began to fall out immediately after leaving the salon,” shared Muscovite Arina, who came into the salon on Krasnye Vorota. — The whole apartment is strewn with them. The materials are very cheap. As a result, after two weeks I was left with 3 rays in two eyes! I’ve never had such horror, I’ve had eyelash extensions done in other salons, and my eyelashes lasted more than a month!”

“I was doing eyelashes, the artist was apparently inexperienced,” says Lada M. “I came out with a super red eye, as if burned by glue fumes, and different eyelashes on my eyes!” And why all? As for the tone being too dark, which the client did not expect, then, according to her, this often happens, especially with novice artists or when working with a new dye. “There are special removers that can be used to remove paint from the skin,” explained Natalya. — Unfortunately, it’s more difficult to remove excess from hairs. In such cases, you can apply lightening paint.”

In second place you can put complaints about the performance of manicure/pedicure. Inept craftsmen mercilessly cut hangnails until they bleed, touch the delicate skin of the fingertips with the device when removing the gel, overdo it with the device when exfoliating the heels and soles, after which it hurts to step on… Or they make a poor-quality coating that chips.

“They put me in the hands of a “top” master, whom I taught how to straighten nails! But I never received the French jacket; she couldn’t draw it for me, because, it turns out, she doesn’t know how,” complained a client who visited the salon in the Pushkinskaya area. “I arrived on vacation, and on the very first day all my corners broke off!” I ruined all my swimsuits with puffs.”

“It’s very difficult for me to please with manicure, but not because I’m so capricious,” 45-year-old Irina told us. – Well, tell me, who would like it when they cut him with wire cutters until he bleeds? One manicurist I know has never cut me, but she does it for too long. As a result, I tried all the nail specialists in nearby salons, but no one was satisfied, so now I spend half an hour on the road to one well-known nail chain, to the same masters. There are many risks in hairdressing. And although few people nowadays go to an untested barber, fearing for their hair, situations are different.

It happens that clients don’t like the haircut, sometimes the color is different, and in the most unpleasant case, the hair can be damaged. Reasons: weak lightening activity of the product, the natural base of the client’s hair was incorrectly determined, neutralization was incorrectly selected, the holding time of coloring products was not observed.

In this regard, let us recall the law “On the Protection of Consumer Rights”. According to Article 29 of the law, the client may demand gratuitous elimination of deficiencies in the service provided, a corresponding reduction in the price of the work performed, or reimbursement of expenses “to eliminate the deficiencies of the service provided on their own or by third parties.” If it is impossible to correct the mistake (for example, the hair was cut too short or the hair was damaged as a result of poor-quality dyeing), the victim has the right to demand full compensation for losses, including in especially severe cases compensation for moral damage.

However, this law applies to any service.

In reviews of beauty organizations, you can find many complaints about the behavior of administrators and staff. Competition in the beauty industry, especially in Moscow, is incredibly high, but for some reason someone allows themselves to treat potential clients so dismissively. If a visitor is not offered coffee or water, this in our time causes a storm of indignation, not to mention indifference or impoliteness. “The administrators greeted me while sitting and waddling,” is also a reason for the indignation of modern women.
