The Moskovsky Komsomolets journalist was awarded at the Press Ball

The best journalists are being awarded for their achievements in 2023 in Moscow.

In Moscow today, January 18 in the evening, the traditional 34th “Press Ball” is taking place, which is organized every year by the Union of Journalists of Russia. The reception was timed to coincide with the professional holiday – Russian Press Day.

The press festival is attended by famous political and public figures, representatives of the Moscow government, editors-in-chief of federal and capital media, “golden feathers of Russia,” military personnel, doctors, and builders.

After the speech of the Chairman of the Moscow Union of Journalists, editor-in-chief of Moskovsky Komsomolets Pavel Gusev, the award ceremony for the best representatives of the profession began and is currently taking place.

First Secretary of the Moscow Union of Journalists Lyudmila Shcherbina opened the first part of the ceremony. The SJM diploma and memorial badge were presented to: the newspaper “Krasnaya Zvezda” (editor-in-chief Nikolay Efimov); newspaper “Evening Moscow” (editor-in-chief Alexander Kupriyanov); magazine “Smena” (editor-in-chief Mikhail Kizilov) and others.

TASS General Director Andrei Kondrashov and First Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta Igor Chernyak were awarded for their contribution to the development of domestic journalism.

In the category “Guardian of Peace and Prosperity,” Secretary of State – Deputy Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Nikolai Pankov presented awards to media representatives covering the combat work of units of the Russian Armed Forces in the area of ​​the Northern Military District. Among them:

Abu Deyab Sami Munir – RT correspondent;

Vladimir Bogomolov – NTV correspondent;

Andrey Gavrilenko – correspondent for “Red Star”;

Nikolai Dolgachev – director of the branch of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Lugansk;

Liliya Zaripova – producer of “RT”;

Evgeny Lyamin is a correspondent for Channel One TV.

Ksenia Soldatova – correspondent of the Izvestia Information Center

Elena Sivonen is a correspondent and head of the bureau of the Zvezda TV channel in Murmansk.

For providing assistance in carrying out the tasks of the National Guard troops, the best journalists were awarded by the Deputy Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of Russia, Alexey Vorobiev.

The Head of the Department for Interaction with Civil Society Institutions and the Media of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Major General of the Internal Service Alexander Knyazev awarded awards to media representatives, including our colleague, Elina Moshkova, correspondent of the law enforcement department of the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper. Awards were also given to the editor of the Izvestia MIC portal, Ivan Petrov, and the RT correspondent, Alexandra Chukanova, of the Broadcasting Directorate for Russia, CIS and Baltic countries.

Director of the Department of Information and Press of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova presented awards to Yulia Vityazeva (political commentator for News Front) and Marina Kim (host of the New World program on the Soloviev.Line channel).
