Those deserving will receive badges of honor
Sketches of certificate badges for holders of new honorary sports titles were developed by the Russian Ministry of Sports. The titles “Honorary Master of Sports of Russia” and “Honorary Coach of Russia” have not yet been established, but the Ministry of Sports has already developed regulations on the awarding of these titles, and now also the design of their attributes.
Currently in Russia there are three honorary sports titles – “Honored Master of Sports of Russia”, “Honored Coach of Russia” and “Honorary Sports Judge of Russia”. Signs for them have been established a long time ago. Since it is now planned to introduce two new titles, the ministry decided to develop the design of award badges and “crusts” that will be awarded to outstanding sports figures.
The signs will be similar, made in the form of stylized shields made of embossed brass, with cold burgundy enamel. The metal finish is antique silver. The enamel on the badges will be used primarily to color the inscription ribbon. In addition to the inscriptions (“HONORARY MASTER OF SPORTS” and “HONORARY COACH”), they will differ in that on the masters’ badges they will depict the full heraldic emblem of the Russian Ministry of Sports superimposed on laurel branches, and on the coaching awards – the central element of the emblem, a running young man and girl.
By the way, the badge of honorary masters practically repeats one of the variants of the badge of masters of sports of the USSR. The differences are the inscription RUSSIA instead of the USSR, and the emblem of the Ministry of Sports is superimposed on the laurel branches instead of the red star. And also the badge of Soviet masters of sports is golden, while the badge of honorary masters of sports of Russia will be silver.
The certificates of honorary masters and trainers will be almost the same, the difference is in the inscription and in the fact that images of the corresponding honorary signs will be placed on the inner surface.
Such badges with certificates are planned to be issued for achievements in sports and in the training of athletes achieved from January 1, 2024.
