The developed standard takes into account the latest trends in the beauty industry
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Russia decided to bring the professional standard of providing manicure and pedicure services in line with the trends of recent decades. Public discussion project departmental document began on the federal portal of regulatory legal acts.
The previous standard was adopted almost 10 years ago, in December 2014. The document’s developers note that since then, a lot has changed in the beauty industry and such an important segment as nail care. The new standard, on the one hand, takes into account changes in Russian regulatory legal acts, and on the other, the development of nail service technologies.
For example, if the work of nail specialists is now described as “providing services for hygienic manicure and pedicure with and without nail polish,” then the updated document talks about strengthening, modeling and artistic design of nails, as well as aesthetic care for natural, modeled nails. and strengthened nails.
The current standard specifies only two types of manicure services – hygienic and caring manicure (the same with pedicure). In the new document, everything is somewhat more complicated: both manicure and pedicure services can be provided in both basic and advanced combinations. Pedicure of the so-called enhanced combination, in particular, involves the production of individual silicone protective products for the foot, as well as the installation of corrective brackets and plates on the nail plates.
According to the developers of the document, its adoption will help craftsmen determine their professional level, as well as the directions and tasks of professional training and improvement. And he will be able to help employers with personnel selection.
