The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation has developed a draft government resolution to extend in 2024 the proactive assignment of monthly payments to combat veterans who participate in a special military operation. The press service of the department reported this on Wednesday, January 31.
As noted in the ministry, the Social Fund of the Russian Federation can assign this payment without an application, receiving all the necessary data through interdepartmental interaction.
Along with this, the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation is considering the possibility of issuing combat veteran certificates to fighters of all volunteer formations. As Anna Tsivileva, the chairman of the foundation, wrote in her Telegram channel, it is important for the organization that veterans who defend their homeland have equal rights and receive equal attention from the state and society.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that people who went through the crucible of difficult trials, without sparing themselves, should form the basis of our state for the medium-term and longer-term historical perspectives.
At the same time, the head of state received recognize SVO fighters as participants in hostilities according to documents about injury received during a special operation or award, regardless of the existence of a contract.
