The Ministry of Justice proposed to indicate their pseudonyms in lists of foreign agents

The Russian Ministry of Justice plans to indicate more complete information about unreliable citizens in the register of foreign agents posted on the department’s website. Today the Ministry of Justice submitted for public discussion a draft departmental order in accordance with which the register will need to indicate not only the current name of the foreign agent, but also all his pseudonyms and past names, if any.

The current rules require that the list indicate the serial number of the foreign agent (it depends on the date of inclusion in the list), citizenship (if any), the number of the identity document, details of the order of the Ministry of Justice of Russia on inclusion in the register, exclusion from it, refusal to exclude, and also about making changes to the register. In addition, the register now indicates the date of acquisition of the status of a foreign agent, and according to the new rules it will be necessary to indicate the date of entry into the list. In addition to the last name, first name, patronymic (if any), it is planned to indicate in the updated register all changes in full name, as well as pseudonyms. The same applies to legal entities and public organizations: you will need to indicate their names throughout the entire period of their existence.

There are now 685 individuals and organizations on the list of foreign agents; the last five, including political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky, were added to the register on September 15.
