The Ministry of Justice of Russia has included the Lithuanian NGO “League of Free Nations” in the list of undesirable organizations. The Prosecutor General’s Office previously reported that the activities of the organization “pose a threat to the foundations of the constitutional order and security” of Russia.
IN message The Ministry of Justice indicated that the “League of Free Nations” is included in the list of undesirable organizations in accordance with parts 1, 4 and 7 of article 3.1 of the Federal Law “On measures of influence on persons involved in violations of fundamental human rights and freedoms, rights and freedoms of citizens of the Russian Federation” .
Formerly at the Prosecutor General’s Office declaredthat the NGO “League of Free Nations” is headed by Russian citizens living in Lithuania, Great Britain and Ukraine. According to the supervisory agency, the leaders of the organization call for the violation of the territorial integrity of Russia and come up with “nationalist separatist slogans.”
Representatives of the “League of Free Nations” declare the need to combat the “colonization” of certain regions of the Russian Federation and regularly hold actions in support of “national movements”. The organization, according to its leaders, includes representatives of the Bashkirs, Buryats, Cossacks, Kalmyks, Tatars and Erzya.
