The Ministry of Justice declared Dmitry Muratov and Konstantin Sonin foreign agents – Kommersant

Ministry of Justice contributed in the list of foreign agents of the editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta, Nobel Prize winner Dmitry Muratov, economist Konstantin Sonin, comedian Ruslan Bely.

On September 1, nine Russian citizens and one organization, the anti-war ethnic movement New Tuva, were added to the list of foreign agents.

Among individuals, the register also included:

• journalist of the Dozhd TV channel (recognized as an undesirable organization) Denis Kataev,
• ex-deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Maxim Reznik,
• writer Oleg Radzinsky,
• ex-journalist of “Echo of Moscow” Oksana Barsheva (Ksenia Larina),
• former General Representative of Ichkeria in Russia Mairbek Vachagaev,
• ex-head of Alexei Navalny’s headquarters (Navalny’s headquarters are recognized as an extremist organization) in Voronezh Evgeny Karpov.

As follows from the message of the Ministry of Justice:

• Xenia Larina openly spoke in support of Ukraine, participated in the creation and distribution of messages and materials of foreign agents to an unlimited circle of people. Carried out activities aimed at the formation of anti-Russian views. An employee of a foreign non-governmental organization whose activities are recognized as undesirable in Russia.
• Ruslan Bely participated in the creation of messages and materials of foreign agents for an unlimited circle of people, opposed the special military operation in Ukraine. Carried out activities aimed at creating a negative image of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
• Mairbek Vachagaev participated in the creation and distribution of messages and materials of foreign agents to an unlimited circle of people. Carried out activities aimed at the formation of anti-Russian views.
• Evgeny Karpov participated in mass events held with the participation of foreign non-governmental organizations, including as an organizer. He called for actions that could lead to a violation of the territorial integrity of Russia. Participated as a respondent on information platforms provided by foreign media. Participated in the distribution of messages and materials of foreign agents to an unlimited circle of people.
• Denis Kataev participated in the creation and distribution of messages and materials of foreign agents to an unlimited circle of people. He advocated the provision of weapons to Ukraine. He disseminated unreliable information about the decisions made by the public authorities of the Russian Federation and the policies pursued by them. French media contributor.
• Dmitry Muratov participated in the creation and distribution of messages and materials of foreign agents to an unlimited circle of people, used foreign platforms to disseminate opinions aimed at forming a negative attitude towards Russia’s foreign and domestic policy.

He disseminated unreliable information about the decisions made by the public authorities of the Russian Federation and the policies pursued by them.

As Novaya Gazeta’s press secretary, Nadezhda Prusenkova, told Kommersant, Mr. Muratov has not yet commented on the inclusion of foreign agents in the register.
