The Ministry of Justice announced new foreign agents – Kommersant

Ministry of Justice of Russia updated register of foreign agents. It included journalists Dmitry Gubin, Andrei Soldatov, the host of “Khodorkovsky LIVE” (Mikhail Khodorkovsky is included in the register of foreign agents) and former correspondent of “Dozhd” (recognized as an undesirable organization) Dmitry Elovsky, political scientist Maria Snegovaya, lawyer and former investigator Kirill Kachur.
The Ministry of Justice provides the following reasons for inclusion in the register:
- Dmitry Gubin participated in the “creation and dissemination” of materials from foreign agents. “Disseminated false information aimed at creating a negative image” of Russia, as well as “unreliable information” about decisions taken by the Russian authorities and the actions of the Russian Armed Forces;
- Dmitry Elovsky “spread false information” about the decisions of the Russian authorities, opposed the special operation in Ukraine, and participated in the creation and distribution of materials from foreign agents. Chief editor of a publication created by a foreign agent;
- Kirill Kachur “carried out actions aimed at creating a negative image” of Russia and the RF Armed Forces. Spread “inaccurate information” about decisions taken by the Russian authorities;
- Andrey Soldatov participated in information platforms provided by foreign structures; participated in the creation and dissemination of materials from foreign agents; opposed the special operation in Ukraine; “disseminated false information” about decisions taken by the Russian authorities;
- Maria Snegovaya participated as a respondent on information platforms provided by foreign structures; participated in the creation and distribution of materials from foreign agents. Carried out actions “aimed at creating a negative image” of Russia and the Armed Forces. Employee of various American think tanks and universities.
The Ministry of Justice also announced the exclusion of the regional national-cultural public organization “Tuba Kalyk” from Altai from the register of foreign agents. The decision was made in connection with the liquidation of the organization.
