The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation explained the queues in the branches of the capital's State Traffic Inspectorate

Reports that it is impossible to obtain an electronic queue ticket in the departments of the capital's State Traffic Inspectorate are incorrect. Official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk spoke about this on Wednesday, April 3.

Commenting on relevant messages from a number of Telegram channels, the speaker of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that “colleagues from the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow reported that this information is incorrect.”

The registration and examination departments of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate now have an increased workload, both due to the seasonal increase in the number of operations and due to changes in legislation.

Employees receive citizens until the last visitor, Irina Volk emphasized.

Earlier it was reported that the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sverdlovsk Region decided to open additional windows to serve citizens due to the rush to replace foreign driver's licenses with Russian ones. Since April 1, amendments to legislation have been in force in the Russian Federation, giving migrants a year to replace their licenses.

Depending on which country the foreigner came to Russia from, replacing a license may require a theoretical exam or a theoretical exam and a test of practical driving skills. An exception has been made for citizens of Belarus - their license will be replaced with a Russian one without testing.
