The Ministry of Health announced that it would assist in the investigation of a criminal case on fraud, in which Yevgeny Bryun was being interrogated. The department emphasized that Mr. Brune does not hold the position of chief freelance psychiatrist-narcologist of the ministry, since it was abolished.
An Interfax source said that investigative actions are being carried out with Yevgeny Bryun, as a result of which he may be detained. Investigative actions, reported by the source, are carried out after searches in the Moscow Scientific and Practical Center for Narcology of the Moscow City Health Department on August 18. The searches were reported by the Telegram channel “Beware the News”.
Investigative actions are also being carried out with the vice-president of the Russian Narcological League Vladimir Yakushev, the source said. He noted that Messrs. Bruno and Yakushev are charged with violations during the conclusion of state contracts.
The position of Yevgeny Bryun was previously excluded from the nomenclature of the main freelance specialists of the ministry, then he said Interfax with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Health. When exactly the position was abolished is not specified.
