The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation issued an anti-boorish manual for doctors

The Russian Ministry of Health decided in an original way to deal with the boorish behavior of individual doctors. The department published a manual for its employees, which indicates the phrases that doctors should avoid. The authors of the “Recommendations” were 20 employees of the Ministry of Health.

The document, which consists of 55 pages, describes in great detail how to accept a patient and refer him to the right specialist. Entire classifications of calls, detailed schemes and various algorithms have been developed. The recommendations published in the document are generally designed to increase the availability of primary care for the population of our country.

Also it is written herethat phrases and intonations that demonstrate indifference and indifference are unacceptable for physicians, are interpreted as an attempt to evade responsibility, reflect lack of initiative or unwillingness to help. Under the ban and any value judgments, direct or veiled insults, as well as phrases that do not carry a specific meaning.

For example, instead of “girl”, “woman”, “young man” or “man”, you should say “you”, “please tell me” or use the patient’s name.

Instead of “no”, “it’s impossible”, “it won’t work” or “impossible”, now you need to say “I suggest”, “it will work only if …”, “in this situation”.

And instead of the rather common phrase “your problem”, the employee of the Ministry of Health should now sympathetically say: “our situation is with you.”
