The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation does not agree with the recommendations of European doctors to take a bath or shower less frequently. “Such calls contradict the basic principles of hygiene,” said Alexei Kuznetsov, Assistant Minister of Health of the Russian Federation.
Previously ninformation appearedthat British doctors urged citizens not to take a bath or shower every day. Regular washing, in their opinion, can make the human body more vulnerable to bacteria.
“The Russian tradition has a historically reverent attitude to personal hygiene,” Kuznetsov noted. For this reason, the Ministry of Health of Russia cannot agree with the recommendations that are being distributed in Europe.
According to Kuznetsov, the basic principles of hygiene are familiar to Russians from early childhood, for example, “wash your hands before eating.” Also, the COVID-19 pandemic has clearly shown the whole world how hygiene measures have saved people’s lives and health.
