The Russian Ministry of Health has released a new version of temporary guidelines for doctors on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of Covid, according to the ministry’s website.
According to the recommendations, COVID-19 is currently “acquiring the features of a seasonal infection.”
As the press service of the Ministry of Health reported, the new version updated the list of regulatory documents regulating measures to prevent the importation and reduce the risk of spreading the disease in Russia, as well as information on circulating strains of Covid.
In addition, data on medications, as well as on the provision of medical care to patients with cancer, chronic kidney disease and mental disorders, has been clarified, subsections have been added on providing assistance to patients with diseases of the blood system, including “patients who are recipients of hematopoietic blood stem cells and recipients of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cells.”
In particular, the document included the Gam-COVID-Vac-D vaccine for children aged 6-11 years.
Updated information has been sent to all medical institutions.
