Representative of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleg Nikolenko spoke about the clause of the declaration following the G20 summit, dedicated to the conflict in the country. He said that the G20 countries, positioning themselves as allies of Kyiv, tried to include “strong language” in the text, but they “have nothing to be proud of.”
Nikolenko said that Kyiv considers “more key than ever” the principle of “nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine,” despite the fact that Ukraine did not participate in any form at the G20 summit.
Earlier, information appeared in the media that the wording of the G20 statement on Ukraine took more than 150 hours to agree on. Russian Sherpa Svetlana Lukash expressed the view that the G20 summit held in Delhi was one of the most difficult in the history of the group.
