The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Poland summoned the charge d’affaires of Belarus to the office due to the fact that two Belarusian helicopters allegedly violated the airspace of Poland. This was reported in the Foreign Ministry.
There they protested to the charge d’affaires of the Republic of Belarus and demanded an explanation on this issue.
Warsaw noted that they regard such an incident as “another element of the escalation of tension” on the border of the two states.
It is noted that the information about crossing the Polish-Belarusian border was confirmed by the Polish Ministry of Defense. Also, the defense department noted that they had informed NATO about this.
At the moment, the Belarusian side has not yet commented on this incident.
