The Ministry of Finance, together with the Federal Tax Service (FTS) and other departments, decided to expand the possibilities of using data from a single resource of information about Russians in 2023-2024. About this, with reference to the final report of the Ministry of Finance to the expanded board, they write Vedomosti. In particular, departments plan to increase the list of information providers in the system, as well as provide an opportunity for citizens to make changes about themselves.
The federal register of information about the population contains information about the population of Russia and foreign citizens living in the country. It includes, in particular, full name, date of birth, information about marital status, information about military registration, as well as registration in pension, medical and social insurance systems.
A representative of the Ministry of Finance told the publication that they plan to synchronize the register with the Unified State Social Security Information System (EGISSO). The EGISSO operator will become another data provider. According to him, the EGISSO contains socially significant information about individuals, due to the inclusion of which it is planned to increase the quality of information, as well as optimize the composition of data on kinship and family ties of citizens. It follows from the report of the Ministry of Finance that such a measure will make it possible to transfer the provision of targeted social support to low-income families to a qualitatively new level.
The report of the Ministry of Finance also contains a proposal to transfer to Russian citizens the right to send requests to change information about themselves in the register. As the representative of the ministry explained, for this, the Russians will be able to use the State Services portal.
Creation of a federal register of information about the population of Russia approved federal law of 2020. Its commissioning is planned in stages from 2022 to 2026. The Federal Tax Service, which acts as the operator of the system, informedthat from January 1, 2023, information from the register became available to authorized bodies through the mechanism of interdepartmental interaction.
