Ministry of Emergency Situations: Novosibirsk region is threatened by flood

In the Novosibirsk region there is a threat of an emergency situation due to floods on the rivers Inya, Berd, Tara and Tartas.

TASS reports this with reference to the head of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Viktor Orlov. Earlier, representatives of emergency services clarified that more than 250 summer cottages and household plots were flooded in the region.

According to the latest data from the State Public Institution “Center for Providing Activities in the Field of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Fire Safety of the Novosibirsk Region”, water is discharged from the Novosibirsk Hydroelectric Power Station in accordance with the schedule for the release of the spring flood of 2024.

The average water level in the Novosibirsk reservoir was 108.51 meters BS (Baltic measurement system). The water level in the Ob River is at 231 centimeters.
