The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation conceptually supported the idea of introducing school badges as an element of the uniform of students, according to the response of the Deputy head of the Russian department Andrei Korneev to a letter from State Duma deputy Yana Lantratova, who had previously come up with such an idea.
As noted in the document, the issues of developing and approving the design of badges will be worked out jointly with the Russian movement of children and youth “Movement of the First”.
Earlier, the first deputy head of the committee on education of the lower house of the Russian parliament, Yana Lantratova, turned to the head of the Ministry of Education, Sergei Kravtsov, with the initiative to introduce school badges. In her opinion, wearing appropriate paraphernalia is an important element of upbringing, belonging and identification. Such badges should become “the pride of the younger generation, an attribute of patriotism, high moral principles, as was the case in the Soviet Union,” the parliamentarian shared her point of view.
