The Ministry of Education and Science plans to train up to 180 thousand students in the field of unmanned aerial systems by 2030

The Ministry of Education and Science expects that in 2025 about 40 thousand students will study at universities in the field of unmanned aerial systems; in 2030, the number of such students should grow to 180 thousand people, RIA Novosti was told in the department. They added that educational modules within the framework of the planned federal project “Personnel for unmanned aerial systems” will be developed and updated every year.
At the end of June the government approved strategy for the development of unmanned aircraft until 2030. According to the document, within six and a half years, a new branch of the economy related to the creation and use of civilian drones should be formed in Russia. President Vladimir Putin named industry “the most important activity of the country” and offered start teaching drone control in schools.
