In Russia, the issue of blocking YouTube and WhatsApp is not on the agenda. This statement was made by the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadayev.
He added that there are no plans to introduce liability for the use of VPN services.
Previously, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Alexander Khinshtein excluded suspension of YouTube in the Russian Federation until the country comes up with a full-fledged analogue of the platform.
It also became known that the State Duma sees more harm than good from freezing YouTube. About it wrote Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications Anton Gorelkin.
At the same time, he emphasized, the deputies are confident that domestic bloggers have little prospects on this platform.
