In connection with the change in the key rate of the Central Bank of the Ministry of Digital Development, a revaluation of resources was required to provide IT projects that had already received support in the form of preferential loans, a representative of the ministry told Vedomosti. For the same reason, the processing time for new applications has increased, and some loan applications have been suspended, he added.
“Given that uncertainty remains regarding the future level of the key rate, in some cases – when it comes to large projects – the consideration of applications may be suspended or the period for their consideration extended,” a ministry representative warned. To date, the preferential lending program has already supported more than 160 projects with a loan portfolio of about 82 billion rubles, he added.
