The Ministry of Defense will restore in Russia the monuments demolished abroad

Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Dmitry Bulgakov said that Russia will restore on its territory monuments demolished in neighboring countries. According to him, the monument to the T-34 tank, similar to the one demolished in Narva, is the first of its kind.
“At one of the meetings with the Minister of Defense, it was decided to restore monuments on the territory of the Russian Federation in front of the neighboring state, where they were demolished,” Dmitry Bulgakov told reporters in Ivangorod (quoted from TASS).
Today, September 11, Dmitry Bulgakov unveiled a monument to the T-34 tank in Ivangorod, which is similar to the one previously demolished in Estonian Narva. The memorial in Ivangorod was created on the initiative of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
August 16 in Narva dismantled a monument to the Soviet T-34 by decision of the Estonian government. Demolished Soviet military monuments in Narva must go into state ownership. Prime Minister Kaya Kallas spokethat the transfer of some war memorials to museums is necessary because of the growing tension over the Soviet heritage in Estonia.
