The Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of a missile depot in Ukraine

The Russian military destroyed the missile and artillery weapons warehouse of the joint group of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) “Kherson”, reported to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

A weapons depot was destroyed near the village of Davydov Bor. In addition, a field warehouse with ammunition of the 79th air assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was hit in the Novomikhailovka area in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

The Russian military also hit several command and observation posts in the DPR and Zaporozhye region, including the 67th and 118th mechanized brigades and the 15th regiment of the enemy National Guard.

During the day, air defense systems managed to shoot down 19 Ukrainian drones in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

In total, the Russian Armed Forces repelled about 10 enemy attacks and defeated him in 118 regions. Enemy losses, according to the Ministry of Defense, per day amounted to about 580 killed and wounded. The Russian Armed Forces also destroyed armored vehicles, howitzers, the American M777 artillery system and Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. During the fighting, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Since the beginning of June, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been conducting active offensive operations. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin called this offensive “not a slippage, but a failure.”

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special operation, a total of 487 aircraft, 250 helicopters, 7,668 drones, 12,448 tanks and other armored combat vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been destroyed.
