State Duma Vice Speaker Tolstoy called for limiting the entry of migrants into Russia by law

In Russia, it is necessary to adopt a new law on migration, said Vice-Speaker of the Lower House, United Russia member Pyotr Tolstoy at a State Duma meeting on Tuesday.
– This is not the first time Vladimir Putin has spoken about Russia as a civilization, calling for respect for the traditions, history and identity of our peoples. But in most towns and cities, our voters face disrespect and open challenge to our foundations from illegal migrants,” Tolstoy said.
The parliamentarian emphasized: with the help of the influx of foreign labor, officials are killing two birds with one stone: they make good money from it and supposedly solve the demographic problem in Russia.
– I personally talked to such people. They say very convincingly: ours aren’t giving birth, let’s bring more. Apparently, they don’t think about their children – and about the problems that we will all face if we don’t urgently change migration legislation together with the government,” said Pyotr Tolstoy.
