The Russian military shot down a Ukrainian Su-27 aircraft near Maryinka in the DPR. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
“Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force near the village of Marinka in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” – says in the next report of March 10.
Since the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine, 400 aircraft, 218 helicopters and 3,373 drones have been destroyed. The department added that near Petropavlovka in the DPR, the Russian army also struck at the S-300 air defense system.
Over the past day, the enemy lost up to 120 soldiers in the Krasnoliman direction, up to 40 in the Kupyansk direction. It is noted that in the Donetsk direction, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued their offensive. As a result, more than 120 Ukrainian servicemen were killed. On the Yuzhno-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the enemy lost over 50 people, on the Kherson – up to 20.
The day before, March 9, the RF Armed Forces inflicted a massive strike on targets on the territory of Ukraine in response to an attack by saboteurs on the Bryansk region on March 2. The operation was carried out with the use of the Kinzhal hypersonic missile system. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that all designated targets were hit, the goal of the strike was achieved.
In addition, the department noted active operations of the Russian army in two directions. In Donetsk, units of the Southern Group of Forces, with the support of artillery, attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Krasny, Semenovka and Pervomaisky in the DPR. And in the Krasnolimansky direction, the RF Armed Forces hit the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Nevsky, Chervonaya Dibrova in the LPR and Torsky in the DPR. In total, the enemy lost about 250 soldiers in these areas.
