The leadership of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions need to have maximum powers for the full integration of new regions into Russia, said the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov.
“Today, new territories face problematic issues that do not fall under the direct effect of federal laws. Therefore, leaders need to have maximum authority and almost manually find individual solutions for each resident,” the Crimean governor wrote in his Telegram channel.
In his opinion, the integration of new entities into the legal, economic and social space of Russia may take about five years.
“Crimea at one time managed to successfully go through the integration processes, including because decisions were made in the interests of our citizens quickly and without hesitation. We are ready to continue to share our experience, provide methodological and other assistance to the leadership and residents of new regions,” Aksyonov added.
Referendums on joining Russia to the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions took place in September 2022.
