Russian air defense crews shot down a Ukrainian aircraft-type drone in the sky over the Bryansk region, reported The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in its Telegram channel.
“Today, at about 15.30 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack by an aircraft-type UAV on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation was stopped. The Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed by air defense systems on duty over the territory of the Bryansk region,” the message says.
October 11, Governor of the Bryansk Region Alexander Bogomaz reported about two downed drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and about five hours later – about another aircraft-type device, shot down on approach to Bryansk. Later, the Ukrainian military fired at the village of Suzemka; none of the residents were injured. On October 10, the Ministry of Defense also announced the suppression of a drone attack in the Bryansk region. According to the Ministry of Defense, the incident occurred approximately at 17:10 Moscow time.
In the Bryansk region, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat remains in effect indefinitely; the region is regularly exposed to shelling from Ukraine. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a medium level of response has been established in the region.
