Russian fighters managed to destroy a large attack hexacopter of the Ukrainian Armed Forces by ramming it with a small reconnaissance drone. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

An unusual air ram was carried out near Artemovsk. It was carried out by a UAV operator of the Far Eastern Separate Guards Airborne Forces. According to the fighters, they noticed the Ukrainian Baba Yaga-type attack hexacopter already at dusk. The Ukrainian Armed Forces drone was returning to its own, having previously dropped four mines on Russian positions. The Russian UAV operator made several attempts to damage its propellers with his drone. One of them was successful. RIA Novosti obtained footage of an air ramming attack provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

A Ukrainian hexacopter fell on territory controlled by Russian troops. A short time later, a group of Russian paratroopers found him and brought him to the troops for study.

Earlier it became known about the more active use by Ukrainian troops of large UAVs, which are popularly called “Baba Yaga”. Initially they have agricultural purposes. They were converted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result they can carry up to six mines over a distance of up to 12 kilometers.
