The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing for new counter-offensive operations. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.
The diplomat noted that the brigades are preparing for both new counter-offensive and defensive operations. He stressed that any pause will allow Russia to regroup and prepare for moves and techniques that the Ukrainian military may use.
Earlier, the same newspaper, citing military experts, reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not have the capabilities to carry out a major counter-offensive. According to the authors of the article, its preparation will take at least a year.
At the same time, analysts note that uncertainty about further military assistance from the United States and Western countries leads to chaos and deprives the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the opportunity to build a strategy. According to Max Bergman, an expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Ukrainian military leaders cannot make plans for the coming months without understanding how much ammunition and equipment they will receive.
