NYT: Chaos is coming to the Armed Forces of Ukraine due to uncertainty in the United States

Continued uncertainty in the United States regarding further military assistance to Ukraine leads to chaos in the Ukrainian army and prevents it from planning its actions, Max Bergmann, an analyst at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said in an interview with The New York Times.

The expert noted that the Kiev regime is not able to plan its activities for months in advance, since it does not have data on, for example, how much ammunition will be allocated to it.

Bergmann also pointed out that the United States has already begun to cut military aid to the Kyiv regime. At the end of September, the purchase of weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces was estimated at several hundred million dollars, and at the beginning of the year it was 2.8 billion dollars.

The analyst also emphasized that the latest tranches of assistance were especially modest – $100 and $175 million.

Previously, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. She admitted that there is currently no progress on the issue of US assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, she said that the country’s President Joe Biden is “ready for compromises” in order to approve new budget allocations in the interests of Kyiv.

Bloomberg, citing the American military, reported that there are no interruptions in the supply of weapons to Ukraine and Israel. “For Israel, we supply many types of ammunition for everything from helicopters to artillery. But there is no competition with what we have already planned to send to Ukraine, at least not yet,” said Deputy Secretary of Defense Douglas Bush.

The publication notes that Washington’s deliveries are carried out under two different programs. To Israel – under the FMS program, under which Tel Aviv itself pays for purchases. Ukraine is supplied from a special presidential fund, which allows it to send weapons from American warehouses. However, Bush warned that if both conflicts continue, competition between Israel and Ukraine for American weapons could still arise.

At the same time, the Pentagon earlier reported that restrictions on arms supplies to the Kyiv regime had already begun. Earlier, US President Joe Biden signed a new temporary budget until January-February. The document does not provide for the allocation of assistance to Ukraine and Israel.
