After the incident with the fall on the territory of Poland near the village of Przewoduv near Lublin, the Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement.
The publications of the Polish media and some statements by officials that an alleged “Russian missile” fell were called “a deliberate provocation” by the RF Ministry of Defense.
The Ministry of Defense reported that no strikes in the vicinity of the border between Ukraine and Poland were carried out by Russian means of destruction today, and the fragments of the rocket, which are visible in the photos taken in Poland, have nothing to do with Russian weapons.
Earlier, military experts said that the rocket fragment in the photo could be part of a projectile from the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system used by Ukraine, and that the incident in Poland, which killed two people, could be the result of Ukrainian air defense in the Lviv region.
Pentagon spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder told reporters that the U.S. military has no evidence that the missiles belong to Russia, and that there is no need to speculate on the subject without any facts. The same was stated by representatives of the Polish authorities. A meeting of the Government Committee on Security and Defense is about to begin in Poland, after which the Polish side must announce specific information.
