Polish media reports that Russian missiles fell on the territory of Poland are not true, the Russian Defense Ministry said. As emphasized in the department, we are talking about disinformation, the purpose of which is to provoke an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.
“The statements of the Polish media and officials about the alleged fall of “Russian” missiles in the area of the settlement of Przewoduv is a deliberate provocation in order to escalate the situation. No strikes were made against targets near the Ukrainian-Polish state border by Russian means of destruction, ”the press service of the ministry said in a statement.
The military department added that the photographs of the rocket fragments published by the Polish media “have nothing to do with Russian weapons.”
Earlier today, Polish media reported that two rockets fell on the territory of the country, killing two people. Against the backdrop of these events, the Polish authorities called an urgent meeting of the national security committee. It was noted that the explosions occurred in the village of Pszewodow in eastern Poland, their cause was not officially named.
