Information about the dismissal of officers of the 1st Army Donetsk Corps and the 2nd Guards Army Luhansk-Severodonetsk Corps after they were accepted into the Russian armed forces is not true, reported press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
As explained in the department, from January 1, the personnel of the corps in full strength with equipment, weapons and materiel were included in the RF Armed Forces.
“We emphasize that the information about the alleged dismissal after the admission of officers of these army corps into the Russian armed forces is absolutely untrue,” the message says.
They added that the department did not issue a single order to dismiss the military personnel of the formations, and all of them “worthily and selflessly perform combat missions” as part of a military special operation.
Formerly VGTRK war correspondent Alexander Sladkov informed about the dismissal of the deputy head of the People’s Militia of the DPR, Eduard Basurin, and said that the dismissal awaits many commanders of the republics who do not meet the criteria for a “Russian officer”.
“Someone will be weeded out by future commissions, someone has already been thrown out into the civilian world, as if alcoholics and violators, like the same Basurin (he was fired and it’s too late to drink Borzhom) and many other war-hardened officers,” the military commander wrote in his Telegram channel . At the same time, Basurin later confirmed reports of his resignation.
In early February, it became known that the zone of responsibility of the Southern Military District was expanded to include the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. As explained in the press service of the Southern Military District, the expansion of the zone of responsibility in this case is associated with the entry of new regions into Russia and the inclusion of the people’s militia associations of the DPR and LPR in the Armed Forces of the country.
