The Ministry of Defense confirmed the return of 50 Russian soldiers from Ukrainian captivity

As a result of negotiations with the Ukrainian side, 50 Russian soldiers were returned to the country, reported the press service of the Ministry of Defense in his Telegram channel.
“On December 1, as a result of the negotiation process, 50 Russian servicemen were returned from the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime, who were in mortal danger in captivity,” the report says.
The military personnel will be delivered to Moscow for treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions by aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces. “All those released are provided with the necessary medical and psychological assistance,” the press service added.
Earlier today, the interim head of the DPR Denis Pushilin announced the exchange of prisoners of war with the Ukrainian side. He clarified that among the released 12 soldiers were from the DPR and eight from the LPR.
Last week, Russia and Ukraine held several prisoner-of-war exchanges. The first one took place on November 23rd. At that time, 35 Russian servicemen were returned from Ukrainian captivity, and the same number of servicemen were handed over to the Ukrainian side. The second exchange took place on November 24, the Russian side returned 50 soldiers. The third and fourth exchanges according to the “9 for 9” formula took place on November 25 and 26.
