The press service of the Ministry of Defense called reports about the regrouping of Dnepr troops a “provocation.” Previously, such reports were released by the state agencies TASS and RIA Novosti. A few minutes later they were canceled as erroneous.
“The sending of a false message about the “regrouping” of troops in the Dnieper region, allegedly on behalf of the press center of the Russian Ministry of Defense, is a provocation,” the ministry said RBC.
TASS General Director Andrei Kondrashov told the Telegram channel “Climb”that the agency is looking into the release of a false message on behalf of the Ministry of Defense.

They stated their readiness to redeploy the group in order to “free up some of the forces for an offensive in other directions.” At 11:00 and 11:03 agencies canceled messages and clarified that they were released “by mistake.”
