The satellite of the Ministry of Defense, launched earlier today from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, was successfully launched into orbit, the press service of the military department reported.
“At the estimated time, the spacecraft was launched into the target orbit by the Fregat upper stage and accepted for control of ground-based facilities of the space forces of the Aerospace Forces,” the ministry said in a statement.
The press service added that the launch of the device into the estimated orbit took place in the normal mode. The satellite was named Kosmos-2564.
The launch took place earlier today using a Soyuz-2.1b medium-class launch vehicle.
