The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, spoke about the unsuccessful attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to counterattack near Artemovsk (Bakhmut).
According to Konashenkov, Ukrainian forces tried to attack in the direction of Belogorovka, Bakhmutskoye, Yakovlevka and Ivangrad. Four company tactical groups participated in the operation.
In response, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation inflicted a complex fire defeat on the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of which the enemy was stopped and dispersed.
“Up to 80 Ukrainian servicemen, 1 tank, 3 armored fighting vehicles, 2 pickup trucks and a car were destroyed,” Konashenkov said.
