FSB prevented a series of terrorist attacks in the Zaporozhye region

The FSB of Russia prevented a series of terrorist attacks in the Zaporozhye region, which was prepared by three citizens of Ukraine on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services, they confessed, the Center for Public Relations (CSP) of the FSB reported.

“In Melitopol, three citizens of Ukraine were detained on their way to the place of laying an explosive device in one of the city’s markets. They gave confessions that they acted on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services in order to intimidate the civilian population of the Zaporozhye region, ”the department reported (quote according to TASS).

In the car of the detainees, components of an improvised explosive device based on plastite and electric detonators were found. Two pistols with ammunition and a grenade with a fuse were found in the apartments. The alleged terrorists were taken to Moscow, the press service added.

Last week, the FSB prevented an attempt by Ukrainian special services to organize a terrorist attack on the South Stream gas pipeline (probably referring to a section of the Southern Corridor gas transmission system – Vedomosti).

Employees of the department detained Russian citizens who were involved in the preparation and resource support of the terrorist attack. In particular, four magnetic mines, delayed-action fuses, as well as means of communication containing correspondence and negotiations with a curator from the Ukrainian special services were seized.
