Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on a poll by VTsIOM, according to which 78.7% of Russians trust Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin spokesman called the high level of public confidence “Putin’s phenomenon.”

According to Mr. Peskov, “these are traditionally very high figures.” He clarified that “some small nuances, very small changes occur from week to week.”

“But in general, indeed, this is such a phenomenon of Putin – a high level of public confidence. This suggests that he works efficiently, and most importantly, what he does really meets the aspirations of people, ”says Dmitry Peskov.

The president’s rating fluctuated against the background of the partial mobilization announced by him on September 21, which lasted until the end of October. Last month, according to a poll by the FOM, 79% rated Mr. Putin’s performance in his post as good. Over the course of two months, this figure varied between 75–80%.
