The National Center for Defense Management (NTsUO) (part of the Ministry of Defense) announced a “direct connection” between the arsons of Russian military enlistment offices and the Ukrainian special services. According to the center’s employees, the Ukrainian side is taking such actions to form a false public opinion.
“An objective investigation of these cases indicates their direct connection with the activities of the Ukrainian special services, which put pressure on Russian citizens through bribery and blackmail. These destructive actions are aimed at creating a false opinion among the Russian and foreign public about the lack of support for a special military operation by citizens of the Russian Federation, ”leads TASS NCUO message.
The center did not publish details or detailed materials on the investigation of the incidents.
After the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine, the media in Russia regularly report cases of arson of military registration and enlistment offices in the regions of the Russian Federation. On November 9, former village teacher Ilya Farber from the Moscow region was recognized guilty of setting fire to the building of the military registration and enlistment office in Udmurtia.
