The military commissar of St. Petersburg, Marat Urmansov, denied information that appeared in the media that queues had formed at the city’s military registration and enlistment offices due to the military registration of enterprise employees.

“The military registration and enlistment offices are open daily from Monday to Friday as planned, full working day. October 1 is not the deadline for submitting information about citizens subject to military registration working at enterprises,” added Mr. Urmansov, as quoted by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

The military commissar stated that all organizations will have time to submit lists of employees for registration in a timely manner. Employees of military commissars provide representatives of enterprises with all the necessary assistance, he said.

Earlier today, September 29, edition “Fontanka” reported about queues at military registration and enlistment offices in St. Petersburg. According to the publication, a significant part of those standing in line were employees of human resources departments who came to submit data on the military registration of their colleagues.

On October 1, amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses come into force (from 5 thousand to 400–500 thousand rubles, depending on the article), tightening fines for employers for violations in the provision of data on employees to military registration and enlistment offices. Against this background, in recent weeks, a rush of demand for outsourcing services for military registration has formed in the Russian Federation – interviewed specialized companies told Kommersant about this. At the same time, according to them, military registration and enlistment offices often cannot cope with the large influx of visitors and queues arise there.
