War correspondent, specialist in the military-political activity of NATO and Western countries Alexander Simonov in his Telegram channel announced the details of the death of the crew of the Su-24M PMC “Wagner” Alexander Antonov and Vladimir Nikishin.
According to him, on December 2, in the area of Kleshcheevka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted an armored breakthrough, which arose a serious threat of losing positions previously occupied by Russian “musicians”. As a result, the commander of one of the assault squads redirected the crew of the Su-24M to the enemy armored column to strike.
To carry out the attack, the pilots needed to cross the line of contact for several kilometers.
“During the turn to the combat course, the aircraft was hit by a MANPADS. The observation post … reported that it saw the aircraft being blown up in the air and its descent into the area of the enemy convoy. The phrase “Meet, s.. .ki, Papu… “and after 5-7 seconds the plane crashed into a cluster of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Simonov said, adding that the Wagner crew repeated the feat of Nikolai Gastello.
The actions of the crew thwarted the armored breakthrough of the enemy. On December 14, the Ukrainian side handed over the bodies of the heroes to representatives of the Wagner PMC, respectfully covering them with the Russian flag and the banner of the company.
