Metropolitan Mark of Ryazan and Mikhailovsky said that children who are bullied need to “learn a state of dispassion.” He called bullying itself a “vaccination against life’s difficulties.”
The Metropolitan appeared on the “Obraz” program and answered questions from residents of the region. A woman named Svetlana approached him. She asked if she should homeschool her child if he is being bullied at school.
“First of all, you need to teach a child such a state of dispassion so that he does not react to some things that offend him, and does not try to respond to provocations,” the Metropolitan said.
He added that perhaps bullying will become “a kind of vaccine, so that when a person enters life, he understands that life is not just a walk, but a test.”
News about bullying of children by their peers regularly appears in different Russian regions. Chairman of the RF IC Alexander Bastrykin I recently personally took control a situation in one of the schools in Novosibirsk, where a boy was beaten and extorted money from him.
