The memory of academician Eric Galimov was immortalized with a bas-relief on the wall of the institute

On Wednesday at the Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry. Vernadsky RAS, the grand opening of the memorial plaque of Academician Eric Mikhailovich Galimov took place.
The event was attended by Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences Stepan Kalmykov, members of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, representatives of the Department of Geosciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the directorate of the institute and its leading employees, as well as members of the family of Eric Mikhailovich: wife Galina Dmitrievna, daughters Daria Zlatopolskaya and Alexandra Skamnitskaya with their spouses and children – Mikhail Skamnitsky and Lev Zlatopolsky.
The event was opened by the director of GEOKHI RAS, corresponding member Ruslan Khamizov. He emphasized that Eric Mikhailovich was a real encyclopedist, a scientist of a wide profile, which is no longer found in the modern world.
Academician Robert Nigmatulin drew attention to the courage and integrity of Eric Mikhailovich, as well as his civic position, reminding the audience that it was Academician Galimov who openly and principledly opposed the reform of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
