Kommersant: Four teachers arrested at the military space academy
The A. F. Mozhaisky Military Space Academy became the site of the arrest of four teachers who allegedly created a criminal group that was engaged in inventing fictitious positions among developers of experimental design work (R&D). This is reported by Kommersant publication citing sources in the Ministry of Defense.
According to the newspaper, the group consisted of two teachers – Artemy Pavlov and Vladimir Avdeev, as well as two heads of departments of a military educational institution – Kirill Tsvetkov and Andrei Nazarov. They acted as an organized group, within the framework of contracts for the R&D projects “SPO-TSUiM” and “Prima-VKA-EP”, including 82 employees of the academy’s research and training center in the list of co-executors of the projects. However, these employees were never involved in the implementation of projects.
According to investigators, the criminal group stole an amount of 8,444,444 rubles. The detainees admitted their guilt and were placed under house arrest.
This is not the first case of corruption crimes in Russia recently. Earlier, one of the former employees of the Ministry of Defense was sentenced to nine years in prison for corruption.
