Al Rabia TV channel published video of Russian and Israeli citizen Elizaveta Tsurkova kidnapped in Iraq.

In the video, the researcher talks about her participation in organizing a demonstration in Iraq with the aim of provoking an internal conflict in the country. According to her, she was coordinating the protests. Tsurkova also claims that she worked “for the Mossad and the CIA” in Syria to establish relations between Israel and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

In addition, a citizen of Russia and Israel called what is happening in the Gaza Strip “stupid leadership” on the part of the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Tsurkova noted that the Israeli authorities are not taking steps for her release.

Israel reported about the kidnapping of Elizaveta Tsurkova in July. According to Israeli authorities, at that time she had been held in Iraq for several months. The Jerusalem Post newspaper wrotethat the researcher disappeared in March 2023. A statement from Netanyahu’s office noted that Iraq “bears responsibility for the fate and safety” of the girl.

According to the Israeli government, Tsurkova traveled to Iraq on her own initiative to pursue her doctoral dissertation and research from Princeton University in the United States. She entered the territory of the republic using a Russian passport. A diplomatic source for The Jerusalem Post admitted that the scientist could also visit Lebanon and Syria. Netanyahu’s office emphasized that the incident was being dealt with by the “relevant authorities” in Israel.
