The American human rights organization Center for Constitutional Rights has filed a lawsuit in federal court against the administration of US President Joe Biden for complicity in the genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. This is stated in the statement of the organization, which was published on its official website last Monday.
The publication notes that the Israeli government is committing genocide against the Palestinian people with the unconditional support of the United States, and since October 7, the Israelis have killed at least 11.1 thousand Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, including over 4.6 thousand children. Human rights activists stressed that the United States is not fulfilling its legal obligations to prevent genocide, and American leader Joe Biden and other officials are actively aiding and abetting the Israeli government’s genocide of the Palestinian people.
The Center for Constitutional Rights emphasized that President Biden, as well as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin not only did not use their influence to prevent genocide, but also publicly stated more than once that they unconditionally support the actions of the Israeli authorities. The statement clarifies that on behalf of Palestinian human rights organizations and Palestinians in Gaza and the United States, the organization filed a federal lawsuit against Biden and his administration on November 13.
